WeeklyPhotography is on hiatus.

Nobody is playing and nobody is voting.

I'll see if we can crank it back up in May after I'm done with school.

Ryan's "Wild Card"

I didn't manage to get my camera out at all last week. I did take one photo on my phone to text to my boss to explain why his monitors were no longer working:
He picked up a new card, but I plan to try to repair this one.

Fred's "Wild Card"

I tried to get a picture of the comet this week, but didn't.  Instead, I got a shot of St. Paul at night.

Ryan's "Season"

Coming into the spring season there's hardly any snow left in Omaha. I wasn't able to find any for sale, but did come across a rental offering:
I did not inquire about rates.

Fred's "Seasons"

Even though the calendar says it's St. Patrick's day, Fargo is still in the middle of winter.

Next week - Wild Card

Shoot what you want.

Fred's "Fat"

Olive oil is far more photogenic than margarine.

Mike's "Fat"

I'm not certain I like the way that picasaweb has changed its way of hosting images, but here is a fat mailbox sticking out of a fat pile of snow.  More on the way.  Snow that is.

Cory's Fat

The Moon is looking particularly fat right now.  I'm guessing it will start going on a diet in another day or two.

Next week: "Ignored"

"Fat" is due Sunday.

Ryan's "Guard"

This is a guard a might use when I cut my hair:

... if I used a guard when I cut my hair.

Fred's "Guard"

Figaro stands guard at the window, making sure squirrels in the tree outside stay there.

Mike's "Still Life"

This picture is on the large size for a still life, yet not a landscape or portrait.  Ryan and I spent the weekend at a camp this weekend, and this is a collection of rocks in their commons area.
In hindsight, and had I got the definition of still life before I left home, I should have walked up and snapped a picture of that wagon wheel or one of those lanterns.

Mike's "High Five"

In our kitchen are 5 flood lights on a 9 foot ceiling that are the bain of my existence.
It is rare that all five of them are lit at the same time.  I even tried using CFL bulbs for a while.  They don't last like they are supposed to.

Ryan's "Monster"

Everyone knows that monsters hide in the fog on dark nights, but I didn't find any.

Cory's Monster

My late Christmas present arrived this week - a monster of a telescope.  Of course, it has been cloudy and rainy ever since it got here.  But that didn't stop be from taking out into a break in the clouds on a brightly moonlit night to see what I could see!

Fred's "Monster"

Something lurks in the closet at the bottom of the basement steps.

Fred's "Hungry"

As much as we feed this little guy, he just keeps eating and eating.

Cory's Hungry

I guess it's time to go grocery shopping.  Everybody's getting too hungry.

Ryan's "Silent"

My sister (who is rarely silent) apparently wishes to silence our mother:

Mom made it out with her tongue intact.

Cory's Silent

Emily helped me out again this week.  Lucky for you, pictures only convey light and are completely silent.  It wasn't that way when I took the picture.

Fred's "Drop"

A drop, with a bit of assistance from Paul.

Ryan's "Drop"

Most people drop out of the sky when they try to fly.

My Dad... not so much:

Mike's "Drop"

I had never tried this with my Nikon flash.  Did it a couple of years ago with my old Vivitar and had to try all sorts of things.
Anyway.  This is my drip or drop or droplet.  You can tell its mine, because if you look really close, I and the camera are inside the bubble!  You will also notice the standard Millard calcium buildup complete with its iron oxide.

Cory's Drop

I've been collecting a list of things to do to the Beetle's engine for a while now (replace the clutch, replace some seals, replace the thermostat, and others), and I finally decided to take the plunge and drop the engine out of it a couple of weeks ago.  Here's where the project currently sits: the engine on an engine stand, the car on jack stands, and me slowly making progress toward getting it all fixed up.
